Perfect for homemade granola

  • Teff is an unpretentious crop that grows on very dry or very wet ground. Teff is a grain from the sweet grass family.
  • Since the grains are very small, the entire seed is ground into flour.
  • Teff has a nutty aroma and tastes slightly sweet.

Teff is suitable for use in any grain products like bread, rolls, pasta, pizza dough, cakes, or biscuits. It is also great for use as a thickener for sauces. Teff flour has good baking qualities and delivers rich, tasty and, above all, gluten-free products.

A delicious alternative for bread, pancakes and cakes or for any recipe where oatmeal could otherwise be used.

Recipe Suggestion:

Teff Burgers

  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 medium onion
  • 20 g margarine
  • 100 g teff flakes
  • 1-2 eggs (alternatively 150 ml of water)
  • Yeast
  • 70 g chopped almonds
  • 4 tablespoons whole grain bread crumbs
  • Uncured coconut fat for frying

Preparation:
Peel the carrot and cut it and the onion into small cubes and sauté in margarine. Knead in the teff, eggs (or water), yeast and about 50 g of roasted almonds. For small burgers, roll in the breadcrumbs and cook in hot coconut oil.
