Description
Roses: roses are one of the most popular flowers in the world and are known for their elegance. The complex, multifaceted plants are a symbol of love and perfection and embody time, eternity, life, death, fertility and virginity. Animals, beetles, wasps, cicadas, bees and bumblebees cannot resist the sight and scent of roses either.
Rose water: Rose water, also known as rose hydrolate, is a by-product of steam distillation of rose plants. It is a colourless liquid and has a delicate fragrance. Hydrolates are significantly gentler than essential oils and are thus suitable for children, pregnant people and the elderly as they are gentle on sensitive skin.
Rose water is often used to flavour beverages or food (like marzipan) and is also used in cosmetics. It is moisturising and cares for irritated, dry, reddened and sun-burned skin. It also beautifies the complexion and is an antibacterial, antiseptic multi-talent that can be used for the whole body. Rose water is also used in hair products as it intensifies the natural shine of your hair and makes your strands softer, more supple and easier to comb.
