Description
Strengthens Agni
Usually asafoetida is combined with other spices such as ginger, cardamom and rock salt and is available as a powder and paste. It has a strong garlic scent, therefore it is recommended to store asafoetida in an airtight container.
- Unlike garlic, it does not have a tamasic (numbing) effect on the senses or the spirit. Furthermore, according to Ayurveda, asafoetida strengthens Agni (digestive fire) and calms Vata (air/ether element).
- Asafoetida is a resin that is ideally used with fenugreek.

Ekadasi Endgame
Been looking for this product for at least 10 years. The asafoetida market has been captured by Vandevi who mix the hingu with turmeric and processed flour and sell it really nasty plastic containers. Cosmoveda could be on a big seller if they tap into the ekadasi market of Krishna's chefs
