Aronia berries are superfood "super fruits" and are known for the nutrients they naturally contain, like antioxidants, vitamin C and minerals. No other fruit has such a rich content of anthocyanins and procyanidins (or OPC for short). These phytochemicals belong to the flavonoid family. Flavonoids are responsible for the colour (anthocyanins) and the slightly furry taste (OPC) of the Aronia berries.
