The Chaga or Birch Mushroom grows in birch tree trunks. The mushroom can grow on trees that are up to 70 years old. The mushroom grows as soon as the birch has died.

• The whole mushroom is used for the Chaga powder from Terra Elements.

Processing:

• The mushroom is dried at low temperature and then ground. The result is a raw food product that is packed with all the nutrients from the mushroom.

Tip:

• Can be sprinkled over food or stirred into smoothies or other liquids.
• It is also very popular to drink as a tea.

Tea preparation:

• For a cup, simmer 1 teaspoon of the powder to 250 ml of water and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes. The tea can then be poured through a fine-mesh sieve.
