Sonnentor Gray Poppy Seeds

Versatile for sweets as well as for savory food, the poppy seed is commonly used in Austria. It is traditional in the Waldviertel region as it was used by monks since the 11th century. It was chosen for cultivation due its slightly larger grain and is greasier, more oil and thus more nutritious today.

The gray poppy is a mildly flavorful poppy - with an impressive flavor. It tastes pleasantly sweet and nutty.
