Phitofilos Pure Turmeric Powder

Turmweric powder is derived from the dried root of the turmeric plant that belongs to the same family as cardamom and ginger. It is a small plant reaching a maximum height of 1 m.

Besides its use as a spice for cooking, turmeric is an important plant-based dye used for colouring materials (leather, wool and silk) and as food colouring.

The colouring effect of turmeric is also used for decorative cosmetics and hair dyes. Hair is given a very intense but very cool yellow shade. Therefore, it is recommended to mix turmeric with other plant powders such as henna, rhubarb or a more neutral senna, in order to create shades ranging from golden yellow to cool blonde.

Application: Mix the turmeric powder with hot water. Give the paste a few minutes to activate. Apply the hair dye to the hair and leave on for 30-60 minutes. Turmeric gives brown and light brown hair intensive luminosity and strength with radiant highlights.
